LOVE DETECTOR - 90,000 word paranormal romance

While working in a laboratory, a scientist is transfected with the DNA of  a bioluminescent organism which causes her to glow ...but only when she is in love.  When she falls for a steamy astronomy professor, will she accept his love and the possible illumination of her problem, or will she deny her heart and leave him in the dark?

WILD MAGDALENA, REVENGE OF A PIRATE WENCH - historical romance

Wild Magdalena is my entry in the RWA San Diego chapter's "Book in a Year" contest, which ends in February, 2009.

When Magdalena is mistakenly taken on board a pirate ship by one of Hippolito Buchard's men during their raid on Mission San Juan Capistrano, masquerading as a man is a matter of survival.  Then she discovers evidence of her family's duplicity, and embracing the pirate way of life seems like the best revenge. When a pirate with eyes like simmering emeralds discovers her charade, will their growing love be the thing that forces his betrayal?
